she put on her new clothes,
and her broken-in chucks.
tamed her freshly cut hair,
looked like a millions bucks.
walked a different way to work,
and it started to rain.
she felt out of her element,
aboard the stranger-filled train.
she'd been spoiled by the sun,
the rays of laughter and cheer.
now the clouds have taken over,
and the sky has shed a tear.
but she knew that it would pass,
and the sadness would not last.
but the moment swept her away,
like a whirlpool in the bay.
once she pulled herself together,
and took her mind off the gloomy weather,
she knew it would all be ok,
and began to embrace the rainy day.

pennies for thoughts
Meg: the stars can't dance if we don't sleep
sweeeet dreams
until we meet in Italy tomorrow
me: at the trevi fountain please
see you then!
Sent at 11:01 PM on Wednesday
Meg: we will throw pennies together to ensure our imaginations will last a lifetime
good night
me: good night
sometimes all it takes is a little green book
me: dude what can i do to erase this giant pimple from my poor face
hahah
Sent at 10:28 PM on Wednesday
Meg: awwww
i always ask you that
and
Meg: you say
toothpaste
me: true true
Meg: also DON"T touch it
me: i guess thats the plan then
hahaha i know
i do always say that
its so hard not to touch it htough!
Meg: i know!!!
i always do it
im like if i could just squeeze this off my face
life will be good
but
ALAS
me: hahaha
Meg: no
haaha
gross
but
true
me: hahah yepyep...oh welllll
Meg: you know what's hidden in there
all your hopes and dreams
they feel trapped
beneath the surface
and if you overthink them
disaster & scarring strikes
just let them be
naturally
& waaaaaLAhhhh
magic
me: its true..they will find their way eventually
Meg: they will
: )
me: haha
Meg: all it takes is a little daydreaming and night swimming
me: thanks meg for making a pimple seem so magical
Meg: hahahaahahaha
that is
amazing
me: daydreaming and night swimming....you left out the afternoon
afternoon _________ing
Meg: floating
life is but a lazy river
me: dream, float, swim
i like it
Meg: the hard part is remembering that we are the current
not the tube
me: woah!
did you just come up with that???
enlightening!
Meg: yea dude
haha
me: that was great
Meg: it's this green book
me: i think you're right
Meg: if we all had green books
me: it so badly wants you to fill its pages with wonderful thoughts
Meg: the world would be itself
me: i like that
im going to get a green book tomorrow
i think i need one
and i think im going to get jen one for graduation
but
Meg: beautiful
beautiful
me: do you think green brings creativity out of everyone
perhaps some people are more enlightened by yellow
or orange
Meg: i think green brings out the creative in the creative
me: ahhhh
Meg: because it's so common

Meg: where as purple with yellow spots is Bound to make an casual normal fruit turn their melon
me: haha!
Meg: the gift of noticing the usual
is the greatest gift of all
it's what children have
that simplistic
eye
me: wow meg...you're so right
Meg: to notice as shoe lace
me: they can see the beauty in anything
even a plain green notebook
Meg: or a dented car
exactly
it's all about the green notebook
just like it's all about the t-shirt
it says
IT ALL
and it doesn't even have to try very hard
me: hahah
its true
Meg: do you know how much there is to think about
and something like twitter lets the world release it
their thoughts dreams comments reactions
it's amazing
perhaps the world will become a better place and that little blue bird will be our therapist
me: there is so much...but i think i just learned this minute..that...in order to get the most out of life, you need to be careful of what you think about...because you can get lost in a trap of thinking about things that really mess you up, or you could get swept away into an oasis of candy coated thoughts
i do love twitter
some people dont get it
but i think its wonderful

Meg: your thoughts could be your closest enemy
how about that?
wild
me: crazy
Meg: closest enemy and your deepest love
me: an addiction, even
Meg: exactly!
my thoughts are my addiction and horizon is the cure
me: this little green book is really doing wonders
its uncovering a creativity that has been hibernating
Sent at 10:47 PM on Wednesday
